Get an early start on Xmas crafting this summer. Using discarded TP rolls, we will make sparkling snowflake ornaments that you'll be proud to hang on your tree or give as gifts. Once we finish cutting, folding, gluing and glittering, you'll never be able to tell that these delightful ornaments once held toilet paper! In this class for beginners, you will learn how to form Uncial calligraphy letters. Uncial calligraphy is an ancient form of calligraphy characterized by simple, rounded strokes. It apparently originated in the 2nd century AD with the growing use of parchment and vellum as writing surfaces. Most of the works of Latin literature for more than 500 years were copied in this hand. Paper, pen, guide sheet, and exemplar are provided, free of charge. All instructional materials are yours to keep. You must be 18 or over to register. Registration is required.
