Drive-Thru, BBQ and Dinner for Two at Indy’s hottest restaurant of the summer

Summer is in full swing and it is prime time for BBQ and brews. Porkopolis is Indy’s newest ‘que spot bringing all of those things together for the Summer of Classics; the best of BBQ classics with a modern twist.

University of Indiana alum and restauranteur Matt Hamilton has brought his concept east of the Mississippi in partnership with local businessman Gavin Hart. Porkopolis originated in Arizona with two locations in the Scottsdale and Chandler areas. When the opportunity to convert one of Hart’s Dairy Queen franchise locations in Carmel into a new location that included a drive-thru it was time to add dimension to the concept.

“We are able to offer premium casual dining inside with local beers and cocktails,” says Hamilton. “Then we have catering or the drive-thru component for people who want a great meal but don’t have time to sit down with us and dine.” Local brew are featured on tap like GumballHead from 3 Floyds Brewing Co. and specialty moonshine cocktails like the popular Hoochie Momma are mainstay reasons to get you inside. Don’t let the drive-thru fool you, this BBQ joint is also set up for lunch and dinner with full table service.

Porkopolis is putting together the most classic summer menu of all. This is BBQ with flair, as the newest Indy location offers specialties like Red Neck Tacos, Burnt Ends and Fried Pickles. But the grill is fired up for The Summer of Classics promo, which includes a 3 Meat Platter of Brisket, Pulled Pork and Baby Back Ribs with Coleslaw and BBQ Beans for $20. Top it all off with another summer classic, a complimentary slice of Apple Pie a la Mode.
