About the Young Leaders Council

The FORUM Credit Union Young Leaders Council offers an opportunity for young adults, ages 17-24, to gain leadership experience, professional development training, and personal finance assistance, while also contributing to the success of the Credit Union. The group meets bi-annually at FORUM Headquarters, with one meeting in the winter and one meeting in the summer. Young Leaders Council members will gain experience in community leadership and business etiquette, gain peer leadership skills, and have an opportunity to make suggestions on the decisions of the Credit Union while serving as a youth ambassador in the community.

FORUM is also happy to announce the new YLC Mentor Program, which matches members of the Young Leaders Council with community leaders for personal and professional mentoring. Each mentored student will have the chance to see inside an industry or organization he or she is interested in through the eyes of someone who knows it best. With that insight along with feedback, guidance, and support from their mentors, students will be able to envision themselves as emerging professionals.
