5th Annual Hamilton County Festival of Trees Fundraising Event
Live Event Nov. 17, 6 pm
Bridgewater Club – Carmel, IN
Fishers, IN - GOOD SAMARITAN NETWORK of Hamilton County, Inc., a local nonprofit 501c3 organization, is excited to announce their fifth annual Hamilton County Festival of Trees. The return of this holiday tradition, since 2014, marks a significant impact for Hamilton County families by allowing direct funding for Holiday Assistance to the underserved.
The Festival of Trees will be held November 17, 6 pm. Again this year, the event will take place at the beautiful Bridgewater Club, 3535 E 161st St. Carmel, IN, 46033, (317) 867-4653. The evening includes a dinner, a keynote speaker, and an auction including custom designed themed Christmas trees, wreaths and table centerpieces - hand decorated by local designers specifically as fundraising pieces. Cost is: $75 per person.
Reservations are now available and are required due to limited seating. Please contact Good Samaritan Network (317-842-2603 x200) to RSVP, or visit www.gsnlive.org/festival-of-trees.
The evening’s MC is Wil Hampton. Wil is recognizable to many as a former sportscaster and community leader; after graduating from Ole Miss, his career path began in Tupelo, Mississippi at WTVA. Wil made two stops in North Carolina (Greensboro and Charlotte) on his way home to Indiana and WISH-TV in 1995. He has also held management positions with the Indianapolis Colts and Marian University before going to NewDay.
Purchased trees will be professionally delivered FREE to the purchaser’s residence or address of choice by Two Men and A Truck moving company the following Monday or Tuesday after the event.
This year the Festival of Trees will include mobile and online bidding! You will simply register and instantly set up your information and then you can bid by phone and/or online at any time during the bidding timeline for both the Pre-Event Silent Auction and the Live Event.
Besides themed Christmas Trees, wreaths, paintings and more, one of the many specialty items being auctioned this year includes “A Visit From Santa”. Attendees will be able to bid on a “Night Before Christmas” real life scene, witnessed in the home from a distance by the family, as Santa actually places presents under the tree and enjoys his cookies and milk. Additionally, “Toy Making With Santa” will be auctioned as children are able to participate one-on-one in Santa’s personalized toy shop. These specialty auction items are made possible by professional Santa, Kristofer C. Kringle, with over thirty years’ experience. He is a graduate of the International University of Santa Claus and is the lead consultant to the Santa Claus Museum and Village.
Last year nearly 60 items were auctioned raising nearly $23,000. The event was hugely supported with near capacity attendance. One comment received said, “It was such a fun and festive atmosphere... truly benefits those in need in Hamilton County. I’m so glad to see this extend the work of GSN!”
Sponsors are critical to advance the fundraising goal for the holiday program that services Hamilton County. Sponsors represent an investment in the community signaling a huge commitment and concern for its neighbors at the holidays.
Current sponsors include: Breathe Easy Hamilton County, Chapman Electric Supply Inc, Community North, Delta Faucet Company, Gaylor Electric, Goins Family Fund, L & M Gardens, Moser Consulting, Mutual Bank/Carmel, Spencer Farms, Wall 2 Wall Painting.
New this year, the County Commissioners are allowing Good Samaritan Network the opportunity to provide a Festival of Trees pre-event silent auction featuring five Christmas Trees, before the actual live event is held November 17.
The silent auction will be held at the Hamilton County Government and Judicial Building, 1 N 8th St #292, Noblesville, IN 46060. Hours: 8am-4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
A public viewing of the five custom designed Christmas Trees will be held October 29 thru November 9. The actual online and mobile bidding for the pre-event silent auction will be available November 12 until the close of business November 16. View the information signs available at each tree for complete details and on how to bid.
Good Samaritan Network’s financial fundraising goal for this event is $40,000. Proceeds from the evening will be directed for Good Samaritan Network’s signature Holiday Assistance program - which assists nearly 30,000 Hamilton County residents with Holiday food, clothing and toys and provides hot meals on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve.
This revolutionary county-wide holiday assistance program is made possible because of in-kind donations received and processed all year long by Good Samaritan Network; which is dependent upon the neighbors and residents of Hamilton County for the donation of gently used or new clothing and toys (including bicycles) that are repurposed without cost to the residents of Hamilton County.
Sponsorships are still available in multiple categories, including: Event Sponsor $8,000, Pinnacle Sponsor $4,000, Pillar Sponsor $2,000, Platform Sponsor $ 1,000 and Partner $500. Sponsors can easily register online: www.gsnlive.org/festival-of-trees.
Interested designers should contact Kim Harden, Event Coordinator, or the GSN office, or sign-up online.
