Local Attorney to Speak at Business Risk Seminar

Virtually all companies, regardless of size, face a constant threat of financial loss from data breach. Hackers constantly find new ways to invade computer networks. These cyber criminals can disrupt a business, cause loss of revenue, damage a brand and raise the specter of lawsuits and fines.

At the upcoming Hylant Business Insights Seminar on October 24, Wooden McLaughlin, LLP partner and Carmel resident John C. Babione will present practical steps a company can take to reduce its financial risks. This includes how to plan ahead to help prevent breaches and to lessen the impact when one occurs. He will also explain the importance of a breach response plan, what to include, and the response process when a breach occurs. Other speakers at the event will address more business risk topics.

An attorney with both CIPP/US and CIPM credentials, Babione understands data privacy, data breach prevention and response, and information governance and knows how to implement privacy programs to address both legal requirements and real-world business concerns.
