Love on a Leash will have local volunteers here with their registered therapy dogs. Reading to dogs helps kids build self-esteem and confidence as well as valuable reading skills. From Avengers to Doctor Who, to K-Pop and Pokemon, we will geek out together in an open and accepting evening of fun. Cosplaying is encouraged but not required. For those teens in grades 6th-12th. Learn the basics of our Brother Sewing Machines including how to thread the machines, winding bobbins, and sewing in a straight line. This is a quick start session designed to help patrons build their skills with our studio equipment. Those under 13 must attend the session with an adult. Anyone wanting to use the sewing machine during this program must be registered.

Ukulele Club

Learn the play the Ukulele! Learn such techniques as: how to hold the uke, how to tune, and how to read chords. Learn to play simple songs with 2 or 3 chords. Ukulele Club will meet the 4th Thursday of each month. For ages 8 and up. The library has 5 Ukuleles available to use at the library. There will be a sign-up sheet at the Children's Reference desk one week before each class to reserve a Ukulele. All others will need to bring their own Ukuleles with them. Registration is required.
