Danielle Carey Tolan, a fifth-generation Westfield resident, serves as the Chief of Staff for the City of Westfield, where she oversees city operations and helps shape the community’s future. Her leadership journey began as Westfield Washington Township Trustee, where she modernized processes and built meaningful partnerships. Recognized as the 2021 Indiana Township Trustee of the Year and 2023 IBJ Women of Influence, Tolan brings strategic vision and a commitment to public service excellence. Deeply connected to her hometown, she credits her family’s legacy for inspiring her passion for community leadership. Her leadership style reflects her deep connection to the community, blending historical stewardship with a forward-looking vision to ensure Westfield’s continued growth and success. Tolan is proud to call Westfield home, living there with her husband, Andrew, and their son.

About Sarah Reed:

Sarah Reed, a University of Cincinnati graduate with a bachelor’s in urban planning, is the Community Development Director for the City of Noblesville and a certified planner through the American Institute of Certified Planners. She was appointed by Mayor Chris Jensen as a deputy mayor in January 2020, previously serving as the city’s Director of Planning and Development and an Economic Development Specialist. Sarah has been with the City of Noblesville for over 11 years. She has been responsible for many major local and regional initiatives for Noblesville, including working closely with Mayor Jensen on the Central Indiana Regional Development Authority (CIRDA) and co-leads the Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative (READI). In addition, Sarah has led the development of the Innovation Mile Master Plan, which includes The Arena at Innovation Mile, the future home of the Indiana Pacers G League franchise.

Her leadership goes beyond her work for the city. She is a 2013 Hamilton County Leadership Academy graduate, earned the national designation of Certified Public Manager from Ball State University, and is a 2016 Oklahoma University – Economic Development Institute graduate. She is a Noblesville Creates Board member, a member of the Indy Partnership Council and was a member of the inaugural class the Noblesville Schools’ Miller Ambassadors program. Sarah completed the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series in the class of 2020-2021. She graduated from the ADVISA Leadership Academy in November of 2022, and her capstone project led to the creation of the NOBLE culture initiative and the Wellness Driven Leadership series. In 2024, Sarah was awarded the Ivan H. Brinegar Municipal Management Award at the AIM Ideas Summit in Fort Wayne.

Sarah lives on a farmstead in Atlanta, Indiana, with her husband Tim, son Gunner, dogs Winnie and Remi, and chickens. Always striving to improve her connection with the community, Sarah represents Northern Hamilton County by her service on the Hamilton Heights School District - Reaching New Heights Master Plan, Hamilton Heights Youth Football League board, and Husky Champions Club. She is an active member of White River Christian Church, Hamilton North Campus. In her free time, you can find her on the sidelines cheering on her son, exploring new sourdough recipes, walking her dogs, or reading a great book!

About Megan Baumgartner:

Megan Baumgartner is the Director of Economic and Community Development with the City of Fishers. Megan started with the city as the Assistant Director of Economic Development in July 2015 and was promoted to Director in 2019. In 2020, her role expanded to Economic and Community Development, which now includes management of the Planning & Zoning Department. She leads business engagement and recruitment efforts, redevelopment projects, and strategic planning throughout Fishers. Prior to joining the Fishers team, Megan worked at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation as a project manager helping expanding companies in Indiana receive state incentives. Megan is a member of the Indiana Economic Development Association, Past-President of the Hamilton County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, and a board member of Fishers Youth Initiative. About Mario Rodriguez:

Mario Rodriguez, the Chief Executive Officer of the Indianapolis Airport Authority, is a distinguished leader with national recognition. He has served on the Biden/Harris Presidential transition team and has been appointed by President Joe Biden, former Presidents Barack Obama, and Donald J. Trump to the U.S. DOT's Aviation Consumer Protection Advisory Committee. In 2018, Governor Eric Holcomb conferred upon him one of Indiana's highest honor, The Sagamore of the Wabash. Mario has also received a United States Congressional Recognition from Congressman André Carson in 2019. Furthermore, in 2021, he was honored with the Airports Council International's Excellence in Visionary Leadership Award, the highest recognition for an active airport Chief Executive Officer. In 2023, Mario was bestowed with the Dynamic Leader of the Year award from the Indiana Chamber.

During his tenure in California, he served as the president of the California Airports Council. He received a California Senate Resolution, conferred by Senator Ricardo Lara; a United States House of Representatives Recognition, conferred by Congressman Alan Lowenthal; a County of Los Angeles Commendation, conferred by Chairman Don Knabe; and a City of Long Beach Recognition, conferred by Mayor Dr. Robert Garcia.

He also received recognition, including a New Orleans City Council Proclamation, for his leadership in developing the flood protection system around the New Orleans International Airport before Hurricane Katrina and his leadership during the City's evacuation and recovery.

Under his leadership, the Authority had record-breaking growth, successfully navigated the pandemic, announced significant economic development projects, and was recognized as the Best Airport in North America by J.D. Power, Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, TripAdvisor, and Airports Council International.

He is an active community leader and board member of numerous philanthropic and business organizations such as the Indianapolis and Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Ivy Tech Indianapolis Board Chair of Trustees, 2024 NBA All-Star Game, Visit Indy, The Indiana Sports Corporation, the Economic Club, the Indy 500 Festival Committee, and the Indiana Destination Development Corp. Foundation. He is the former president of the Indiana Latino Institute (ILI) Board and a founder of the Hispanic Leadership Circle, whose mission is to advance Indiana's Latino communities. Under his leadership, the Institute expanded from serving one hundred Latino students to over twenty-eight hundred in 2019 and increased the organization's net assets by over forty percent.

Rodriguez graduated from the University of Miami in engineering (1987) and attended the Harvard Kennedy School. He is an accomplished author and speaker on issues impacting the transportation industry and has held leadership positions from Hong Kong to Indianapolis for over 30 years.

Join us for our June Signature Luncheon as we have the honor of welcoming Mike Pence, Mitch Daniels, and Eric J. Holcomb.

Mike Pence was born in Columbus, Indiana, on June 7, 1959, into a family that epitomized the American Dream, instilling in him values of hard work, faith, and family. After graduating from Hanover College and Indiana University School of Law, he embarked on a multifaceted career, including law practice, hosting a talk show, serving as a Congressman for six terms, and championing limited government and fiscal responsibility. Pence then was elected the 50th Governor of Indiana, focusing on tax cuts, job creation, education reform, and infrastructure investment while maintaining fiscal responsibility. His accomplishments in Indiana led to his selection as the 48th Vice President of the United States. Pence’s conservative philosophy, inspired by Ronald Reagan, led to his founding Advancing American Freedom which continues to advocate for faith, family, and liberty as foundational American values.

Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. served as a two-term governor of the state of Indiana from 2004 to 2012 and as the 12th president of Purdue University from 2013 to 2022. He currently serves a Distinguished Scholar and Senior Advisor at the Liberty Fund.

He was elected governor in his first bid for any elected office, and then re-elected with more votes than any candidate in the state's history.

At Purdue, Daniels prioritized student affordability and reinvestment in the university’s strengths. He ended 36 straight years of rising prices by freezing tuition and mandatory fees at 2012 levels for all students. The freeze is still in place today. As a result, the total cost of attendance is lower today than in 2012, even without adjusting for inflation and aggregate student borrowing has declined 37%.

Prior to becoming governor, Daniels served as chief of staff to Senator Richard Lugar, senior advisor to President Ronald Reagan and Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President George W. Bush. He also was the CEO of the Hudson Institute and had an 11-year career as an executive at Eli Lilly and Company.

Daniels earned a bachelor's degree from Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and a law degree from Georgetown. He is the author of three books and a contributing columnist in the Washington Post.

He and his wife Cheri have four daughters and eight grandchildren.

Eric J. Holcomb, 56, the 51st Governor of the State of Indiana, is a lifelong Hoosier, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, graduated from Pike High School and Hanover College in southeastern Indiana. He went on to serve six years active duty in the U.S. Navy, first at Naval Station Great Lakes and later at Naval Air Station Cecil Field Florida and then overseas at CINCIBERLANT NATO Command in Portugal. Holcomb recently finished serving his second term as governor having been elected in 2016 and 2020 when he received the most votes for governor in Indiana history. Prior to his election as governor, Holcomb served as Indiana’s 51st Lieutenant Governor. Holcomb has earned a reputation as a problem-solving consensus builder focused on creating new opportunities for all. He frequently traveled throughout the state, visiting with Hoosiers about how to make Indiana the best place in the world to live, work, study, play and stayed focused on economic, workforce and community development. Under Holcomb’s leadership, Indiana soared to new heights including record investments and outcome in infrastructure, education and healthcare and becoming the economic envy of the nation. Holcomb and his wife, Janet, live with their miniature schnauzer Oliver in central Indiana.

Join us on Friday, June 28th from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at 3703 State Road 32 East, Westfield, IN 46074 for a fun-filled morning as we celebrate the grand re-opening of the Westfield Wendy’s!

The first 200 guests in line (ages 16+) will be eligible to receive Free Wendy’s for a Year – that’s 52 free items, one per week! (Must make a purchase in the line to receive your card.)

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
We’ll officially cut the ribbon between 10:00 AM – 10:20 AM, then open the doors at 10:30 AM for the first group of guests to begin redeeming their cards.
