Riverview Health Foundation receives a $500,000 gift to expand Infusion Center

Noblesville—Riverview Health Foundation announced that it has received a major gift of $500,000 from Dave and Jackie Cox, Courtney Cole, and Darren and Monica Peck for the expansion of the Infusion Center at Riverview Health.

More than 10,000 patients are being treated annually in the Infusion Center.

“While the patients receive wonderful care from the dedicated physicians, nurses and staff, the current facility doesn’t offer the right kind of environment,” said Megan Wiles, executive director of Riverview Health Foundation.

“When accompanying Courtney on many of her treatments, we were in close quarters with other patients and their families,“ said Jackie Cox. “We had the opportunity to share ideas for facility improvements. In conversation with Riverview Health leaders, we expressed concerns about the current facility and the potential impact of new and improved surroundings. There is a need for privacy at times and sharing with others when feeling better. The staff is outstanding in providing care and comfort. Now the relocated and updated center, complete with beautiful aesthetics and furnishings, will enhance the infusion experience for patients and families. We are thrilled to support the Riverview Health mission and are so grateful to them for embracing our suggestions. It’s a blessing to have this level of care close to home.”

The expanded Infusion Center will be located at Riverview Health in Noblesville and will have private rooms, semi-private rooms and community seating to allow patients to select an area based upon how they are feeling and availability. The new Infusion Center will have an open floor plan with windows and natural light. Construction is expected to be completed later this year.
“As a patient receiving treatment for hours at a time, it would have been wonderful to have windows,” Courtney Cole said. “The lighter colors and outdoor views will help the time pass and make treatment more pleasant.”

The Cox, Cole and Peck families have a long history and connection with Riverview Health. Jackie served as the executive director of the Foundation from 1988-1997, Dave served on the Foundation Board and as Chair in 2011-2012, Monica has served as a member of the Foundation Philanthropy Council and Courtney has been a patient and advocate for Riverview Health and the Foundation for many years.

“Riverview Health has been such a blessing to our family throughout my sister’s health battles,” said Monica Peck. “Being able to do frequent treatments so close to home, to have smiling, familiar faces here to greet us, brings joy to an otherwise not so pleasant experience. We truly appreciate Riverview Health.”
