Anti-Bullying Workshop (All Ages)

In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn strategies to identify and prevent bullying in your community.

American Girl Club * (Grades K-5)

Do you love everything about American Girl dolls? Bring your doll and make a perfect sized doll craft, have fun with imaginative play, games, and snacks.

STEAMPunks: Roller Coaster Challenge (Ages 9-13)

Join us for the Great Paper Roller Coaster Challenge. Build a giant roller coaster with loops and turns as we test what we know about inertia and gravity!

Ukulele Club * (Ages 8 and up)

Learn the play the ukulele! Learn such techniques as: how to hold the uke, how to tune, and how to read chords. Learn to play simple songs with 2 or 3 chords. We will also practice singing and playing at the same time. The library has five ukuleles available to use. Please sign up at the Youth Services desk or call 317-579-0304 to reserve a uke one week in advance.

This program incorporates stories, songs, hands-on projects, and interactive activities that focus on helping preschoolers learn school-readiness skills, develop social skills, and explore more challenging concepts.

Little scientists and their caregivers will investigate STEM concepts through a story and hands-on exploration at learning stations in this lab-style program.

Love on a Leash (Beginning readers age 5+)

Would you like to read to a dog? How about just get a sloppy smooch from a library pooch? Read to a dog and build self-esteem, confidence and reading comprehension skills.

Waggin Tales (Beginning readers age 5+)

Practice your reading skills by reading aloud to a trained therapy dog. For beginning or hesitant readers or those who love to read aloud. Call 317-579-0304 to sign up for fifteen minutes of reading time.

A Day at the Beach Breakout Room (Grades 6-12)*

Teens are at the beach and ready for some fun in the sun, but the sunscreen is locked in the breakout box. Teens must work together to get the box open before they burn! Please register for only one time slot.

Crafty Teens (Grades 6-12)*

Celebrate your fandom! Every month we will explore the realms of a different fandom! We will geek out together over Pokemon, Harry Potter, and Percy Jackson, respectively, in an open and accepting evening of fun. Cosplaying is encouraged but not required.

New book clubs for teens! The Fishers group will meet monthly at The Well (8890 E 116th St., Fishers) and the Noblesville group will meet monthly at Noble Coffee & Tea (933 Logan St., Noblesville) to discuss the current book selection and any other books we want to talk about. Teens will have the opportunity to choose future book selections for the group. At the August meeting, free copies of We Were Liars, by E. Lockhart, will be handed out as the first book selection! We’ll begin reading at the meeting and then get back together in September to discuss. Teens will receive the next book selection at the September meeting and discuss in October.

Bullet Journals 101

Bullet journals are a great way to keep organized by combining a calendar, scrapbook, notebook, journal, and to-do list all in one! Teens will learn about bullet journals and begin creating their own in a way that fits their lives. Supplies and snacks provided.

Learn several social dances of Scotland, including a wee bit of Scottish dance etiquette, setting and traveling steps, and a few dance patterns from the Indianapolis Scottish Country Dance (affiliated with the Scottish Society of Indianapolis). Genealogy Roundtable: Focus on Fraternal Organizations (Ages 18+)

Join us for our first Storytelling Slam in partnership with Storytelling Arts of Indiana. Participants will have up to five minutes to tell a story based on the theme “Family Stories”. Prizes will be awarded to the best stories!
