Veracity to offer interview and interrogation course

CARMEL, IN – Veracity IIR, a global intelligence, investigation and research firm consisting of
retired FBI agents that specialize in corporate risk management and legal action support, has
announced it will offer an Interview and Interrogation Course designed to enhance the skills of
law enforcement and investigators as they conduct interviews of victims, witnesses and suspects.
Participants will learn and enhance cognitive interviewing techniques, detection of both verbal
and non-verbal deception skills, and interrogation techniques. The course will be offered
November 4 to 6, 2019, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Indiana State Police Post #52 at 8468
East 21st Street in Indianapolis. The cost for the course is $395 if you register by October 6th.
This course will be taught by a team of retired FBI agents with over 60 years of experience in the
field and instructing law enforcement personnel. Their experience and passion for Interview and
Interrogation enhances the learning experience because they share real-life case studies, examples
and conduct classroom practice sessions.
Retired Special Agent Kathy Guider served the Indianapolis Division of the
FBI for over 23 years. She developed and conducted training courses for law enforcement across a
variety of specialties, including Interview and Interrogation, Interpreting Body Language,
Instructor Development, Presentation Skills and other specialized topics, for state, federal and
international personnel.
Retired Supervisory Special Agent James Hammock received an
appointment to the FBI in 1996. He was assigned to the Washington Field
Office and worked a variety of federal violations. In 2005, he was promoted
to Supervisory Special Agent. He was assigned to the FBI Academy where
he taught new agents and the National Academy for eight years. He is an
expert in Interview and Interrogation. Hammock redeveloped the Interview
and Interrogation curriculum during time spent in Quantico and developed
a Law Enforcement Human Intelligence course to teach his fellow law
enforcement officers around the world.
Each participant will receive 24 continuing education credit hours. When physical evidence or
strong witnesses aren't available, a confession subsequent to a skilled interview is a valuable
tool. You may have only one shot at obtaining a confession. Register for this three-day training
and workshop in order to learn new techniques and sharpen your existing skills, improving your
odds of interview success. Classroom instruction is supported by practical exercises to reinforce
the learning process. Practical exercises are monitored and evaluated to provide instant feedback
to the attendees. After successful completion, you'll receive a certificate of completion and a
packet of supporting materials for reference. Class size is limited to 30 participants. After October
6th, price goes up to $495.
