The Farmers Bank Announces the Addition of Two Newly Created Management Positions to Support Continued Growth and Success

Frankfort, IN — Karen F. Gregerson, President & CEO of The Farmers Bank, announces the addition of two newly created management positions within the bank. Karen Gregerson stated, “Due to the continued growth and success of The Farmers Bank, it is my pleasure to announce we have hired Donna Howell as Senior Vice President/Chief Operations Officer and named Kim Compton Senior Vice President/Chief Strategy Officer. We are so pleased to announce these changes and believe they will align well with our purpose to care, educate, and serve to provide a better future for all. Donna and Kim are success driven professionals that will help the bank continue to grow. They will be great assets to our already talented team and to our customers.”

Donna comes to us with extensive experience and knowledge in the financial services industry. She has over 18 years of community banking experience, most recently serving as Chief Revenue and Customer Experience Officer at First Financial Bank. In addition, she worked six years at Q2, a leading technology provider of secure, cloud-based virtual banking solutions headquartered in Austin, Texas.

Donna obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana. She received her Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification with the Association of Financial Professional in 1999. She also completed Six Sigma Black Belt training at Purdue University Manufacturing Extension.

Donna lives in Carmel, IN, where she enjoys spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She supports Ascent 121, a local non-profit that works with teenage victims of human trafficking in the state of Indiana.

Kim Compton began her employment at The Farmers Bank on October 31, 2016 as Vice President of Information Technology/Operations. She was promoted to Senior Vice President of Information Technology/Operations in September 2017.

Kim received her Bachelor of English degree from Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis (IUPUI). She received a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2015. Kim has also received a Technical Writing certification.

Kim has worked over 20 years in banking, with experience spanning Operations, Technology, Project Management, and Process Improvement.
Kim resides in Westfield, Indiana, with her husband, Chris and their son, Braden. In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family, reading about cool new technology, and making life better for others.
